Grade Color
In our Strategy Game Database, we use a 3-grade system for games: A (gold), B (silver), C (bronze). We make our choice based on the criteria indicated in the table below (a game must meet one or more criteria).

A Grade (gold) | B Grade (silver) | C Grade (bronze) | |
Developer/publisher | Published/developed by a famous company | Published/developed by an indie company or solo developer | Published/developed by an indie company or solo developer |
Popularity | A popular game that knows almost every strategy gamer | Moderately famous games | Moderately famous game or a game only a developer and their friends know about |
Complexity | Complex gameplay and game features | Complex or casual gameplay and game features | Complex or casual gameplay and game features |
Reviews | Positive or moderate reviews of critics and players | Positive, moderate, or predominantly negative reviews of critics and players | Positive, moderate, or predominantly negative reviews of critics and players |
Technical implementation | Overall good quality, modern or advanced graphics at the time of release | Overall good or moderate quality, modern or advanced graphics at the time of release | Overall moderate or poor quality with many bugs, possibly very outdated or too simply graphics at the time of release |
Some games have no grade mark. It means that the grade is just not indicated for some reason.
It’s very difficult to classify games by grade and our classification is a bit subjective. The main purpose of this classification is to make your search easier: sometimes you don’t want to look at the hundreds of games and want to search only within AAA strategy games, for example. Not always A-grade games are better than B or even C-grade ones, but they are always more popular and famous.
