In July, the developers of Company of Heroes 3 conducted an open test of the first campaign mission where players could try a new Afrikakorps faction. Relic Entertainment said that they got a lot of useful feedback thanks to this test which has already formed the basis for further development. Also, the developers have reported on some changes that they have already made.
One of the most popular players’ complaints was too bright picture and the developers have already taken the necessary steps to fix this problem. Work in this direction continues and the problem is being fixed in a complex way. The not only lighting is being tweaked, but also FX and other things.
Hard work is underway on improving the interface, minimap, controls, and camera height. Many players expressed an opinion that the camera has too low height. Relic responded that this issue is caused by significantly more elevation changes than were in Company of Heroes 2, and work is underway to make the camera feel more natural. The developers also confirmed that they plan to keep the support going for many years after release, with a special focus on the Italian faction.
